東協國家天然資源豐富、人口眾多,在歷經1990年代末的金融危機後,經濟穩步成長,成為全球矚目的新興市場,吸引眾多外國投資。台商企業則早在1980年代末即前往當地投資,他們在經歷艱辛後不僅存活下來,其中不少還成長為企業集團。本課程帶領同學,透過親身訪廠、與台商企業家、經理人對話,瞭解他們面對與台灣環境迥異的東南亞政治、經濟、社會文化環境時,所面對的機會與挑戰,以及因應之道。
已於寒假或暑假參與東南亞台商企業參訪團的同學,會透過教務系統自動設為選修本課程。同學須繳交參訪報告(中文3000字或英文2000字),由教師依參訪報告評定成績。
The ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries with rich natural resources and a huge population have been becoming an impressive newly market and attracting many foreign direct investments after recovering from the disaster Asian Financial Crisis in the late 1990s to the track of stable economic development. Some of Taiwan overseas companies (TOCs) invested in the Southeast Asian late 1980s not only went through a difficult time and are survival but also became conglomerates. By visiting and interviewing the entrepreneurs and managers of Taiwan overseas companies in Southeast Asia, this course aims to let students understand the TOCs' opportunities, challenges, and the adaptation in a political, economic, social and cultural situation so different from Taiwan.
This course is only for the students who already participated the Taiwan-Overseas-Company Studying Tour in Summer or Winter Vocation. The students should issue a report which no less than 3000 words in Chinese or 2000 words in English for evaluating the grade.
